Victoria F. Gaitán

In your face Baroque with a modicum of feminist pique, Victoria F. Gaitán utilizes human props as meat puppets in her flesh and blood tableaux’s. Her images are calling cards from explorations of internal worlds, at once both Beautiful and grotesque. Gaitán offers us a public view into our most private intimacies, fears and preoccupations. In-between states, gender ambiguities and shared delusions, forcing us to question our conditioned responses to gender and race in relation to objectification.
